Roofing Services

The main purpose of roof tiles is to keep out the rain, but it also helps that their stylish appearance and overlapping design gives your home an attractive makeover that has become an increasingly common feature on houses both nationwide and worldwide. Traditionally made from materials such as terracotta and slate, modern materials like concrete and plastic are also used as tiles for roofs and some clay tiles even have a waterproof glaze. A large number of roof tile shapes have also evolved over the years. These profiles include flat tiles, Roman tiles, S-shaped pantiles, semi-cylindrical barrel tiles, interlocking roof tiles which also give protection from the wind, and vertical block tiles known as antefixes. Depending on your home you could change like for like or perhaps make a change and chose a completely different design.

Perhaps your home has an existing slate roof which is in need of repair. Slate roofs are environmentally friendly, easy to maintain & costs less than just about any other roof when the life of the roof is taken into consideration. There is nothing more natural than a stone slate roof. Quarried, chiselled and then trimmed into various shapes and sizes, a slate roof will give your home a traditional feel.

Slate is incredibly durable, being able to withstand pressures to last up to several hundred years with often very little, or no, maintenance. In most instances with slate roofs it is the timber holding the slate that has perished not the slate itself. Another benefit of a slate roof is that it has an extremely low water absorption rate (less than 0.4%) while on the opposite end of the scale, slate is fire resistant and energy efficient.

SYNERGY ROOFLINES have various shapes, sizes, colours and designs to accommodate your roofing requirements. All our roofs are installed with a new breathable felt membrane along the exposed roof trusses and the tiles are hung from the roof framework with nails, usually in parallel rows with each row overlapping the row below it to exclude rainwater while covering the nails that hold the row below.

Once you’ve chosen your materials and design, our SYNERGY ROOFLINE team will set to work tiling your roof. Our team will know the best procedure for your tiled roof so you don’t need to worry about anything other than which you think will look best on your home.
